The Olivia - Navy Ticking Cream Ruffled Rosette Pillow Cover - Custom Available

What's for Dinner? Provencal Lamb ~ Of course!

                        Good gracious Barefoot Contessa!!

                               Love that Ina!
I made this last night and it was off da' hook!  Even my pickiest 12 year old palate liked it~and I'm tellin' ya.....that ones taste buds have been changing daily.......... right along with the surly attitude!

                                    So~ Bring It On.......
(unless your a veggie of course!)

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

  2. Place the leg of lamb in a large roasting pan fat side up and pat it dry with paper towels. Combine the mustard, 1 tablespoon of the garlic, the rosemary, balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a mini food processor and pulse until the garlic and rosemary are minced. Spread the mixture on the lamb. Place the tomatoes, olive oil, 1/4 cup of the honey, the onion, the remaining 2 tablespoons garlic, 2 tablespoons salt, and 2 teaspoons pepper in a bowl and toss well. Pour the tomato mixture around the lamb and tuck in the thyme and rosemary sprigs. Drizzle the lamb with the remaining 1/4 cup of honey.

  3. Roast for 20 minutes. Turn the heat down to 350°F and roast for another 1 to 1 1/4 hours, until a meat thermometer registers 130 to 135°F for medium-rare. Place the lamb on a cutting board, cover with aluminum foil, and allow to rest for 15 minutes. Discard the herb stems and return the tomatoes to the oven to keep warm. Slice the lamb, arrange on a platter, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve with the tomatoes and pan juices spooned on top.

I served it with Hericot Verts
                                           (French green beans)

                                       Spinach Salad with
                                   Goat cheese and pecans
simple dressing of Olive Oil and Basalmic Vinegar

                                                AND~of course
                                    A Rustic French Baguette
(you gotta dip the bread in that tomato base!)

                                         Scrumptious and Easy!

                                     I don't even have leftovers!!

                                           ~  Bon Appetit ~

Forty Three

He was only 43.

He was diagnosed with lung cancer about 4 months ago.  Never smoked.  Was a personal fitness trainer in the most incredible shape.  He exuded health.  He was such a kind soul, in the body of a very handsome shell.  I knew him since high school, and he was always a truly nice, sincere person.  If you look on his social network links, everyone says the same thing.  He was a true man, he remained that way till that cancer came lurking around.

I am so over Cancer!!  I hate Cancer.

This is the second person I personally know in the past eight months  that has been over taken with this insipid disease.  John Hannon to Lung Cancer and Drew Somers to Melanoma.  Both great men.  Truly a loss to us here on earth.

I don't know who invented cancer....why cancer exists....why it plants itself on each individual in a different arena...why it is so damn sneaky making one have to "catch" it before it "catches" you.

I don't like it....I want it fixed.

I know that we all are touched by someone who has cancer, I am thankful for the friends that I have who have survived it.  I still hate it though, because it killed two really fine people.....

That I know.

I guess we keep plugging along~walking for the cure~spinning for the cure~playing golf for a cure~whatever we can do to promote the finances to allow those amazing scientists to find that CURE.

Rest in Peace John Hannon.  I know your family and friends are really going to miss you.

The Art of Lounging~

I recently came across the most AMAZING, softest, coziest sweatpants I have ever slid my derriere into~

I mean~ I understand these are by no means a "new" thing.

I had just not tried them on for myself~

Seeing as I always saw them on my Bff's college aged (model perfect) daughter, Chelsey~

                                                                                                                                 Jacob Lacey Photography

                                    Not that I am old~

                                      I mean come now.....

                              On a side note tho'~
Have you seen the ad for pajama jeans?
