Well there is a happy medium between tennies and the above choices! Believe me the wood soles will kill you. There is a ton of walking to do in Europe and every city has some kind of tower/monument that you have to walk up a million steps to get to the top. What about a chunky platform with a rubbery based bottom, and a cushioned insole? Gives you the height, style and comfort.
