A Haute Find~

La Maison Rustique Urban Barn~ I know....the name gets me excited too!  ANOTHER Haute find!  So.....along my recent travels and research (I love my life) I came across this blog...which in turn wasn't another fantasy.....it was within driving distance!!!  OMG.....I could actually click my heels and GO there!!!  Soooo~ I gathered up two of my favorite people and took them with me.  My two girls.  The older one wasn't as excited as me...seeing as she was grounded and her punishment would be none other than hang out with her mom.....and go shopping Flea Market style!!!!  No better torture for a tween....I LOVE it!  But seriously, I can't wait until the aliens return my sweet girl and she loves to do all the decorating and Flea marketing with me~  As for the little one.....she loves to go ANYWHERE with her mommy....SOOO~off we went to The URBAN BARN!

They are open daily, but have a flea market once a month where even more Fabulosity is brought into the store~looking forward to that!!  Anyway.....I met Dyanna who was there working on her gorgeous cuff bracelets ~and rings~and incredible embelishments for all any creative venue you could imagine!  The place was just brimming with hauteness!   Take a look~

A Serious Note~Drew Somers

So~I learned just today that someone significant in my life has passed away.  In September.  I found out Today. A note on humanity and time.....Drew Somers played a major role in my life during my "later" teens and early twenties.  He had patience, humor and nurturing when it came to me.  I was the young crazy pup fresh from Florida~who friended his girlfriend (that became his wife) and he just accepted it all.  I learned about Mexico trips...and how to behave (and misbehave) with Drew Somers (ok...Sheri, Becky, Lisa, my cousin Drew).  I didn't realize it at the time, but I  learned about relationships....watching he and Sheri build what proved to be the "real deal".  He not only laughed at my juvenile antics, but supported me as a mentor/adult, financially bailed me out in funky times......and never flinched upon doing so....employed me to sort through piles upon piles of legal pleadings, papers and more papers....but really was just probably giving me work to help put gas in my car so I could get to College the next day.   We shared music....beer...Mexico....law firm B.S. and plain ol' fun...Sheri....then Chels....  Then one day....time has played it's role.....those close intimate days vanished.  We all went along...living.....until you realize that someone you knew and shared a great portion of your life is now gone.  I get to sit with this now...but want to share that this person.....had meaning in my life....even if I wasn't present in his last days. xoxoxoxoxo  love you Drew, Sheri and Chelsea

On my blogging adventures I seem to find better and better sites.  This one I came across today just Blew My Mind!!!  It is like someone sneaked into my brain...Into  my deep decorating Soul....I couldn't even Dream of finding one place where absolutely EVERYTHING has me going "Oh my Gawd I loooovvve this"   It happened...today....I am awe struck with the perfection of this place....

Hawt Diggity Dawg~

Well....nothing like a heat wave when I am only Craving fall!!!  Uhhhmmmm  news flash oh masterful weather controller.....this heat is completely unacceptable!!!  I believe I left Florida for this type of inappropriateness.  Jus' sayin'!!  Ok....so I WAS the first person with my Halloween decor adorning my front entry......which I believe only exasperated my neighbors....whose children ran a whining to have their STUFF up too!!!  So... this poor Chap is out in 100 degree weather.....Attempting to hang spider webs...and I am quite sure cursing me under his breath!!!  Sorry dude!  I have Obsessive Decorating Disorder....AND as far as I know.... there is no cure!!  But look on the bright side......I'm just your neighbor....NOT your wife!!  Sooooo....back to the heat....it is FREAKING HOT!!!!

Do you See what I See???

Have you ever looked into the clouds and seen images???  Maybe a snail?...or a bunny rabbit?...possibly an aardvark?~~~~Anyway....we have all had the "Do you See That????"....  in an obscure image thing.  SOOOOOO....on that  NOTE....tonight I was with one of my BESTIES and we were eating and conversating (yes, it is not an official word....but ..it is understandable.....)sooo...back to the point...As we were eating ~ this item of food took on a form......HYSTERICALLY.....Form of "Weiner Dog"~we held it....observed it from different angles.....AND ABSOLUTELY AGREED (along with the Bartender) that hands down.....THIS particular cheese stick...WAS A DAUSCHAND....in it's former life!!!   I have tried to upload the picture...but THANKYOUVERYMUCH  VERIZON WIRE "LESS" for allowing me NOT to transfer these RARE and PRICELESS Photos.  (*confession of being a completely new blogger....but still...) They WILL be here...soon...yes I am tired of all the excused too!!!
